We're excited to have you as a new client! Before your first session, we'll need to set up your portal so you can easily connect with your provider. An email will be sent to you with instructions on how to create your account. Once you've created your account, you'll be able access your intake forms, send secure messages, read about our policies, schedule appointments, and complete any relevant documents and questionnaires. If you have any questions or need assistance setting up your portal, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Please see some samples below.
If you wish for us to coordinate care with another provider (such as your psychiatrist, primary care physician, etc.), we will provide you with the following release form.
-
PaymentIndividual sessions lengths are 45, 60 and 90 minutes. Couples are typically 60 minutes. Session rates will be based on session length and will be agreed upon prior to the onset of care. Each January there will be a small increase in the fee per session which will be discussed with you at the end of the prior year. Payment is due on the date of service. Preferred payments include: Venmo, Chase QuickPay, and Zelle. Fees quoted are the discounted rate for these payment methods only. If using a credit card, the full fee is 4% higher than the other methods. A credit card may be kept on file to be used in the event of non-payment.

Insurance PolicyIf you have health insurance with out-of-network coverage, a percentage of the fee can be reimbursed directly to you by your insurance provider. While we do not directly accept insurance as in network providers for any plan, we are happy to provide you with all necessary information on your paid invoice so that you may submit for reimbursement. Patients with out-of-network benefits are often reimbursed up to 50%-80% our fees for psychotherapy. With the regularly changing laws regarding coverage of mental health services, please check with your plan. When checking for coverage you may ask the following questions: Do I have out of network mental health insurance benefits? What is my deductible and has it been met? How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover? What is the coverage amount per therapy session? Is approval required from my primary care physician? Is telehealth covered?
-
Cancellation PolicyUp to four sessions per calendar year (one per quarter) may be cancelled with no charge. The full fee will be charged for cancellations in excess of this allotment. Requests for a substitute session during the cancellation week will be accommodated, if possible. Please understand, however, that your session will have to be switched with another person, so that may not always be possible. If we are unable to use this time for another client, you will be responsible for the entire cost of your scheduled appointment if it is beyond the four allotted cancellations.
